RadioShack Getting Red HTC Inspire 4G

Technology getting packed into newer devices is ever increasing with many smartphones featuring dual-core processors, gigabytes or RAM, high resolution displays and large, beautiful touchscreens. This is great news for those looking to stay ahead of the curb and pull more productivity out of their mobile devices than ever before. However, it’s a bit of a bad thing for those looking to maintain their individuality as consumers tend to, understandably, swarm the best devices on the market.

The HTC Inspire 4G on AT&T is one of these high end devices that has just hit the market. No, it doesn’t feature a dual-core processor but it does feature connectivity for AT&T’s high speed HSPA+ network. If you’re not well versed in the ways of the Inspire and need a quick refresher, the actual hardware specs for the device include a  4.3-inch display with 480 x 800 resolution, 1GHz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage with included 8GB microSD card expandable to 32GB, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with dual LED flash and autofocus and Google’s Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2.1 mobile platform and HTC’s Sense overlay. No word just yet on when the device will be getting updated to Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 but we’ll save that for another story (when said word is made available, of course).

As you can see the HTC Inspire 4G features specs good enough for the average consumer looking to get down on Android while also browsing the mobile web at high speeds. It also features a price tag as low as $29.99 with 2-year contract from retailers like Amazon. But, due to the phone being fairly cheap while maintaining decent specs it’s sure to be selling quite well meaning chances of you running into another person with the same phone are high. Luckily, if you’re looking to shift things up a bit and have yet to buy an HTC Inspire 4G but want to, you may want to hold off.

The reason I say this is because it was just made known today, by way of leaked a dummy unit snapshot, that RadioShack will be getting an HTC Inspire 4G with a bold red color scheme, as seen above. Unfortunately there is no word on when this device will be hitting your local RadioShack or at what price point but seeing how the retailer offers the device for $29.99 just as Amazon we can’t see it going up much from there.

We’ll keep you posted with further developments but in the mean time tell us: what do you think of the red HTC Inspire 4G?
