Samsung DROID Charge Now Available from Verizon

4G phones are hitting the market and getting announced left and right. Already Sprint has had the game on lock with devices like the HTC EVO 4G leaving Verizon Wireless to catch up. Big Red answered right back with the highly popular HTC Thunderbolt but aren’t looking to cut things short there. In fact, it was just announced today that the Samsung DROID Charge is now available for purchase through the wireless carrier.

Priced at $299.99 with a 2-year contract the Samsung DROID Charge features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and 720p video capture, 2GB of internal storage with pre-installed 32GB microSD card and, of course, 4G LTE connectivity.

While the device itself looks quite nice I see many consumers having a problem with the $299.99 price tag especially since other high end smartphones are making their debut closer to $199.99.
